i just started running regularly about a year and a half ago and before that sporadically. I have wider feet and have the hardest time finding a good fit. I've tried on dozens of running shoes including shoes by nike, adidas, aasics, reebok, among others. i'm thrilled that i have finally found a perfect match. the defyance 2 is well made and durable even for long distance running. I've ran a marathon and 1/2 marathon with them with no blisters afterwards. if you're looking for a good neutral running shoe, this is definitely one to look into. when i find a good discount on these shoes i plan to buy another 5 pairs or so -- a perfect fit
